This program serves as a foundation for students interested in pursuing a major in Global Studies. The pre-major allows students to explore the field, develop a strong understanding of global issues, and prepare for upper-division coursework in the major. Students engage with diverse cultures, languages, histories, and ways of life from around the world. The curriculum typically draws from disciplines like history, political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, and geography, providing a broad interdisciplinary understanding of global interconnectedness. Upon completion of the pre-major requirements, students formally apply for admission to the Global Studies major (BA or BS).
