UVic’s research faculty engages in internationally recognized research that creates groundbreaking knowledge, improves lives and addresses the world’s greatest challenges. This program offers a comprehensive study of humanity, with options to focus on either the social and cultural aspects (BA) or the biological and scientific aspects (BSc) of anthropology.

Career options in areas such as social research, cultural resource management, museum studies, education, international development, community work, environmental consulting, forensic science (depending on specialization), and roles requiring strong analytical and cross-cultural understanding. The optional co-op program can provide significant paid work experience.
