Faculty: Faculty of Science and Health, Department of Psychology. This 4-year full-time Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours in Psychology is designed to provide a comprehensive, scientific understanding of human behavior and mental processes. The curriculum covers core areas of psychology, including sensation and perception, learning and memory, clinical psychology, personality and individual differences, and social and health psychology. The BSc emphasizes research methods, data analysis, and scientific experimentation. The program is fully accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), providing eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) upon successful completion, which is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist in the UK. A key feature is the included year abroad, typically in the third year, offering study at a partner university (e.g., in Asia, Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand). This enhances global perspective, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication skills. Students engage in hands-on research via the Research Experience Scheme (RES), working one-on-one with faculty as research assistants, and have access to state-of-the-art facilities including EEG/ERP, eye-tracking, psychophysiology labs, a virtual reality suite, an observation suite, the Babylab (for infant development), and the multimillion-pound Centre for Brain Science (CBS) for investigating brain activity.
