This program explores the history, culture, and social experiences of various ethnic groups, particularly within the United States. Students will examine issues of race, ethnicity, identity, power, inequality, and social justice. The BA and BS designations may reflect different curricular emphases within the program. The BA often emphasizes the social sciences and humanities aspects of ethnic studies, while the BS may incorporate more research methods or interdisciplinary approaches.
